We have been working on Batman gift buying guides here at BatmanPresents.com. We recently spent a lot of time doing research on the complete Batman mask and cowl buying guide and we wanted to make it easier for everyone looking to buy a Batman cowl to know what to look for. We came up with a Batman infographic to display all the important points that shoppers need to consider when buying a Batman cowl or mask.
Batman Mask and Cowl Buying Guide Infographic
We are already up to version 2 of the Infographic - Batman Mask and Cowl Buying Guide, 5 Things to consider. Here it is, we would love some feedback on what you all think.
Explanation and Background
First things first, is it a mask or a cowl? Many people when looking for a Batman cowl search for a Batman mask. I think this is because most don't realize that Batman wears a cowl not a mask. The first point in the infographic is meant to clear this up. It gives definitions for both a mask and a cowl. When shopping for a Batman head piece, you need to consider the fact that they make both masks and cowls.
The first thing to consider, now that that is cleared up, is the style of cowl you want to buy. The infographic covers the three most popular and easy to find.
The second thing to consider is whether you want a masquerade mask, a regular mask, or a Batman cowl. Batman's look is very distinct, and so they make simple masquerade masks that resemble Batman. These are very popular since they are so cheap, you can get one for less than 10 bucks.
If you are planning on wearing a Batman cowl, you also need to consider point number 3. How does the cowl fit? They normally only make masks and cowls in two sizes, child and adult. And these sizes can vary as well. Is the mask on the small side, normal, or too loose? The reviews on a mask are helpful in determining this. Also, some masks can be resized or become looser the more you wear them.
The fourth thing to consider is the material of the Batman cowl. Masquerade masks are normally plastic, or cardboard if they are really cheap. But for cowls, you need to consider the different materials because they can affect how it fits, and how long you can wear it. Some materials are better than others. The infographic covers ease of wear.
The fifth and final thing to consider is the price. Looking at all the masks that are out there, we noticed some patterns in the pricing. Masquerades are cheap, as mentioned above. There are two other price points to consider when shopping. There are many masks and cowls that range from 20 to 50 and even up to 100 bucks that look and fit great. If you are more of a serious cosplayer, you can go for the replica cowls which can run in the hundreds.
We hope that the Infographic - Batman Mask and Cowl Buying Guide, 5 things to consider, is helpful to anyone shopping for a Batman mask or cowl. We think these are the main points to consider when shopping for one and that this will help people make better purchases.
One important bit of information we discovered that we did not know previously was, that Batman cowls are so affordable. Before doing the research, I had no idea that I could get a great looking Batman cowl for under 25 bucks. That is precisely what we recommend when shopping for one. You can get even more information in the complete Batman mask and cowl buying guide posted under our Batman gift guides page, in the top of the page navigation links. It includes many different masks with pictures, reviews, and prices.
